T-Mobile Sells Out Of Nexus 4 Stock Online Hours After Google Adds Link From Play Store

Nexus 4's are a hot commodity at the moment, and it seems T-Mobile is feeling the heat. The carrier, who is the only operator partner for the Nexus 4 in the US, has sold out of handsets online, though your luck at brick and mortar stores might be better. This happened mere hours after Google added a link to T-Mobile's website on the Nexus 4 Play Store listing, which is likely being bombarded with more F5's than Reddit in the late afternoon.

It's unknown just how much stock retail locations received, or how many phones T-Mobile as a whole got. Given just how quickly Google itself fell to demand (read: instantly), a tempting link from the Play Store listing probably quickly convinced some impatient buyers that a 2-year contract isn't that bad. We'll let you know if the situation changes.

Thanks, Sam!

Samsung Posts Kernel Source Files For Cricket Galaxy S III, Verizon Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, And MetroPCS Admire 4G

Oh, open source files. You might not know it, but it's awfully hard to write words about kernel source going live on Samsung's website, something we do quite often here at Android Police. But, if you're into this sort of thing, you're probably not too concerned with what I'm saying, so much as the links to those files, which I have. And I'm going to make you scroll to get them!
Samsung has officially released kernel source for the Cricket version of the Galaxy S III, Verizon's Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with LTE, and the MetroPCS Admire 4G - which is an as-yet unannounced phone, and probably the sequel to the original Metro Admire.

Interestingly, none of these devices are actually available yet, so I guess Samsung's pretty on-it with this stuff. Or they're just bored on Thanksgiving. Here are the respective links:

Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II Silently Goes On Sale At Verizon, $129.99 On Contract

Does the idea of an Android 4.0 QWERTY slider on Verizon with a WVGA display excite you? Then head on over to Verizon's website, and order yourself a Stratosphere II. Announced a couple weeks ago, the Stratosphere II is definitely on the low end of mid range, with a 4" 480x800 display, Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Android 4.0, and a 5MP rear shooter.

We've also heard from a tipster that some RadioShack locations may already have the Stratosphere II on sale, and for free on contract as part of their Black Friday promotions - a pretty big savings over Verizon's price. So if you are actually interested in this phone, we suggest shopping around before making a commitment. Our tipster also shared a photo.

[Giveaway] Win A 16GB Nexus 10 From Android Police And Sortable

When trying to decide on a new device, most people spend a lot of time comparing various models. How does product X stack up against product Y? Which one offers the most bang for the buck? Which is going to stay relevant the longest? There are so many things to take into consideration - it's quite an overwhelming task.
Thankfully, Sortable.com is there to assist you in the quest for a new gadget. Regardless of whether it's a camera, phone, tablet, laptop, or TV, you can compare all of the most popular products in each class against each other to really figure out which one is the best for you.
For example, let's say you're trying to decide whether to buy the Galaxy S III or the Nexus 4. Simply pop the pair into Sortable's phone comparison generator, and it will output basically everything you want to know about each device, including detailed specs, performance, key differences, user reviews, and how each device compares to similar handsets.

It doesn't just output the results in a boring chart, either - Sortable highlights all of the aforementioned features in a visually interesting way, making it even easier to compare things like display sizes and screen resolution, all the while pulling quotes from reviews and throwing them into the mix:

This theme flows throughout the entire page, with graphics giving a clear and concise look at how the devices compare to one another - everything from amount of RAM and processor speed to camera resolution is laid out in an easy to follow manner, completely taking the guesswork out of choosing a new device.
